Unparalleled Flavor Experiences Await
Our Chef and CEO Juan Eduardo Gutierrez was born and raised in a small northern city called Huaral in Peru. From a very young age he grew up around his grandmother Maria's small farm where he raised chickens, chickens, rabbits, ducks, turkeys and guinea pigs. Likewise, he grew up with the aromas and delicious flavors that came from his grandmother's old kitchen. Living with his grandmother, he learned to kill farm animals to cook them. It was in those years that he decided his future, to love traditional food and take it to other places. Later, our chef began working in the restaurant of his father Mauro and sister Maria. After several years of learning he made the decision to leave the family business to realize his dreams and meet his goals. In 2003 he moved to the United States, where he quickly began working in the restaurant industry. He worked in several well-known restaurants and alongside famous chefs in the Bay Area. In 2015, he decided to take the next step by opening Quinua Cocina Peruana in Petaluma CA with much success and recognition in Sonoma county. With the love he has for this county and his adventurous spirit, he made the decision to bring his Peruvian flavors to Santa Rosa, CA by opening Quinua Sabores del Peru, but this time alongside his daughter Francoise.

I began working in the hospitality industry since my childhood alongside my father in our family restaurant in Petaluma. My roots, experience and passion for our Peruvian culinary art inspired me to be part of this new journey by opening our new location Quinua Sabores del Peru in Santa Rosa CA. You will see me walking around the restaurant making sure everything is running smoothly. I love serving all of our guests as they enjoy our delicious food prepared for each person who walks through the doors. We invite you to visit us so you can enjoy an unforgettable culinary experience.
